I’ve only been to Boston twice but it is, by far, one of my favorite cities that I’ve ever had the chance to explore.
The picturesque streets, architecture, and charm are all so appealing to me and it really is my dream to live in that beautiful city one day.
Here’s a picture I snapped from my last trip to Boston. The photo is of Acorn Street, which is supposedly one of the most photographed streets in the country.
How is that even real life??
What’s your favorite city in the US? Let me know in the comments.
Ever since I could imagine, one of my dreams was to go to California, specifically Los Angeles, because that’s where all the famous people live (according to pre-teen Emily). I’m happy to say that this dream of mine was fulfilled just about two weeks ago, when my older brother and I left the east coast to spend a few days in California.

Happy hump day! For my Wanderlust Wednesday this week, I’m sharing one of my favorite pictures from my study abroad trip last spring. I was lucky enough to spend a few days at the Amalfi Coast of Italy, and the beautiful isle of Capri was one of our stops. This place was absolutely breathtaking, and in no way could this picture do it justice. Talk about #views.

Good morning all! I hope you’ve had a lovely start to your week. I’m here with another Wanderlust Wednesday — a series where I post pictures of my past, present, or [hopefully] future travels.
Today, I’m sharing with you one of my favorite pictures that I took of the iconic Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. What a beauty!
Stay tuned for my post tomorrow, where I’ll tell you all about my recent trip to California!
I recently got back from a five-day trip to California (post about that coming soon!) and boy am I wiped out! I haven’t done much traveling in the US before, so I figured post-grad, unemployed Emily would take a few small trips around the country this summer.
I wanted to share with you a few items that I consider to be essentials for traveling, both in the US and overseas!
1 – Longchamp Le Pliage Large Tote – I’ve had this bag for almost four years now and it is, hands down, one of the best gifts I’ve ever received. I used it as my bookbag for school, my carry on bag on many flights, and my go-to tote to use when exploring a new city. This bag is phenomenal and the quality is so great. It is a timeless, classic piece that I never see going out of style.
2 – Portable iPhone charger – This is so important to have! I forgot to bring mine to California (huge mistake!) and I was constantly wishing I had remembered it. Several times, my brother and I had to go back to the hotel in the middle of the day just to charge our phones. While normally I wouldn’t mind being unplugged for a bit, I found my phone to be essential during this trip between looking at maps, finding restaurants, etc.
3 – Passport Cover – While I didn’t need this during my last trip, this is something I highly recommend for all you international travelers out there! It’s definitely useful to have a brightly colored passport cover to keep it secure, and to make it easier to find when you’re searching through your bag!
4 – Cute, comfy sneakers – I just purchased my second pair of Superga sneakers because I wore my first pair out so much! Once broken in, these shoes are SO comfortable. Another simple, timeless staple to have while traveling, and just in general! They’re more stylish than wearing a pair of Nikes or other athletic sneakers. I wore these all across Europe and will continue to wear them on my future travels!
Hope you found this useful! What are your travel essentials?! Let me know in the comments below.
For this week’s Friday Five, I’m sharing with you the top five cities that I hope to visit this summer! I’ve had wanderlust ever since my study abroad semester, but haven’t been on any big trips since then. This summer, I’m hoping to do some major traveling in the United States. Have you been to any of the places listed below? Let me know if you have; I’m really hoping to hit all five of these destinations and I would love to hear any suggestions for places to stay, things to do, places to eat, etc.
Happy Friday, and I hope you all have a fantastic Memorial Day Weekend!
This week’s Wanderlust Wednesday features a picture from one of my absolute favorite places in the world — Venice, Italy. I think the picture could speak for itself.
